Have you ever been to a website that when you hover over a link a screen shot of the website automatically pops up? This is great option if your website has a lot of links and your visitors want to see what the sites look like before they click the link. Just copy this small snippet of script and place it in the <body> section of your web page. The best place for the script is right before </body>.

It can also be used on Blogger and WordPress by adding a gadget, then javascript.

You can also add your own search engine browser window to your site for free.  You can even suggest what you would have your visitors search for.  To get your free Google search bar (this was hard to find), go to: http://www.google.com/cse/. You may do a search from this box if you want to test it.

Google

While you are adding Google stuff, the following is more of a money maker than an add-on.  The most reliable pay-per-click program is seen on countless websites.  Ads are fully customizable.  Your site must be approved by Google, and then you can apply the code to the page.  Google then indexes each page so the ads are relevant to your site, and the page on which they are placed.  It is called "Google Adsense", and an example is shown below.

Here is another search engine that allows the viewer to search your site as well as the web.  They also offer a "Jump Box" and a counter.         Check them out at: http://sitelevel.whatuseek.com/?synd=box&chan=4 to get started!  This search engine can be scheduled to re-index your site after you update.  The greatest thing about this search engine, is you can make the search box and the results page (of the search) look just your site by manipulating the HTML.  I highly recommend this one.  Go on... do a search.
