Animated Gif Images

     The little animated images you see everywhere are called "GIF" images.  They can be put on your site just as easy as photos.  They can be captured for free from many locations on the net.  Anywhere you see an image you like, right click on it and try saving it to your computer.  These are free for the taking in most locations, however it is polite to provide a link back to the site where you got it, on your web server hosting site. 

     Some GIF images are large files, and will slow down the loading of a web page, so be careful putting a lot of images on the same page.  The rule of thumb is ideally you do not want web pages to be more than 45,000 to 60,000 kb total.  You can check the file size of any graphic by right clicking on it and choosing "properties".  Some sites will allow you to compress GIF images. (The best way to reduce the file size of a GIF image is to reduce the number of colors)
