New Free Email Account

Right off the bat, I want to recommend that you set up a new free E-Mail account.  There are several reasons for this.  The biggest reason is Spam!  A lot of the sites that offer free graphics, resources, search engine submission, guest books, and counters require you to register. This will lead to a lot of unsolicited mail.  Another reason to set up a new E-Mail account is that all the mail you receive (some of it useful) will be related to your site(s).  This is also a good tip to do in general.  Never give your main E-Mail to anyone except those you want to receive mail from.

The following sites all offer free email accounts.  All free E-Mail accounts put some type of advertisement within any mail you send, but this is a minor inconvenience for the service they provide.  Some are better and faster than others, and the evaluations are only my personal opinion.

HOT!! Diino.com not only offers a free secure email account, but you get 2 gig online storage and you can stream Mp3's to your phone or pc anytime! This is a must-have!  CLICK HERE

Also, a top favorite is Breakthru.com. They have a no-spam guarantee!

The best free email providers I've found...

Fastmail.fm

Fastmail.fm  This is my favorite, and though it is free, I like this mail so much I paid the $14.95 one time fee to upgrade this account.  I now have no advertisements and more storage.

The best part of fastmail is they have what is called "bounce".  When you receive an E-Mail you do not want, you can "bounce" it back to the sender and it looks to them that your address is invalid.  Most spammers will then remove your address from their list.

Hotmail.com

http://hotmail.com  is a very popular provider of free E-Mail.  Provided by MSN, this is a very fast system.  It is subject to a lot of spam, but has great filters to eliminate spam.  With a few tweakings in the "options" section, you can eliminate your junk mail. Now with a 100 megabyte mailbox, this is a good E-Mail to have.

Yahoo.com

http://mail.yahoo.com/  is also a very popular provider of free E-mail, and it is not subject to much spam.    Yahoo makes a valiant effort to thwart unwanted mail. This would be a good choice for an alternate address.
